Bill Belichick’s Son Reveals His Father’s Shocking Future Plans

Imagine Bill Belichick in the media?

Well, you may not have to imagine much further, because apparently, he may be planning on doing some television work in the future.

During a recent appearance on Chris Long’s Green Light podcast, Steve Belichick, Bill’s son, was recently asked about his father’s upcoming plans after Bill was not able to land a head-coaching job this offseason.

His answer was surprising.

“I think he’s good,” said Steve, who is now the defensive coordinator for the University of Washington. “Let the stuff roll off your back and move forward. He doesn’t dwell, unless we lost a game and he needs to get on some guys. Eventually you need to turn the page. Honestly I wasn’t too involved in any of that stuff, he did his thing, I did my thing and that was kind of that. He’s definitely pursuing some other stuff, whether it’s TV or hopefully a regular on the Green Light or whatever it may be.”

Considering how terse Bill has always been with the media and how deadpan his personality is, it’s hard to fathom the legendary New England Patriots coach actually jumping into the booth.

However, that is not all Bill is planning.

Steve also revealed that his father might be helping him at Washington.

“His hobbies would still be to, let’s say, critique football,” Steve said. “So you know he was excited when I came out here because he got to evaluate the scheme last year, evaluate the players last year. I’m sure he’ll come out here at some point to do some stuff. The guy just loves football, so there’s definitely that element.”

Bill Belichick is most known for his 24-year run with the Patriots, where he won six Super Bowl championships and led the franchise to nine Super Bowl appearances.

Maybe now, he will become known for his broadcasting work, too.
